Job title is technically a Network Engineer IV, but this role is an Architect level position. This Wireless Network Engineer will join a team of 5 other network engineers, 1 level 1 Engineer, 3 level 2 Engineers, and 1 level 4 Engineer. They will be a team lead to 2 engineers under them.
This engineer/architect will spend 60-70% of their day designing, building, meeting with stakeholders, and architecting multiple projects. Some of the projects include an SSID consolidation, an AP refresh, ACI, SD-WAN, BYOD, a disaster recovery project in the early stages, a datacenter migration, helping to build out a NOC, and many more. They will interact with other engineers and roadmap out the journey.
Skills: Must have experience with BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, and other protocols. Cisco 9800's, Catalyst center/DNAC, Nexus 5k, 7k, 9k, and Cisco DNA Center. The engineer will help to deploy in NHA, must understand flex connect, and NAC (Network Access Control). Currently functions with Cisco routers and switches, and IOS. This candidate must have experience troubleshooting firewalls specifically FirePower, Palo Altos, and Cisco ASA. They must understand best practices with it comes to on prem.
They will work with SD-WAN and VX-LANs a lot in the coming months. Experience with ISE is a nice to have as they will be migrating away from ForeScout and into ISE.

**Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
The primary scope of this work shall include the efforts involved with engineering (designing, developing, installing, configuring, testing, and implementing) various WLAN/LAN task orders involving Aruba and Cisco network solutions. Additionally, the candidate will participate in capturing and analyzing technical requirements; documenting detailed system designs, implementation plans, and operations guides of network systems; participate in both project and operational meetings; providing Tier 3 level support utilizing change control processes.
