Summary:
The Interventional Radiologic Technologist operates digital equipment and performs complex Neuro and Interventional invasive procedures by positioning patients and preparing contrast media for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Assists the physician in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Works with chemotherapy agents, cements, and embolization agents. This position is 100% clinical and may require mandatory call as needed.

* Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
* State of Connecticut Radiographer license.

This individual is responsible for the training and education in the CESI Paramedic Program at St. Vincent's Medical Center, including ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS. The Education Specialist will provide instruction of educational programs offered at St. Vincent's Medical Center within their scope of medical knowledge. Lead debriefing discussion at the end of simulation scenarios. He/she must provide a supportive climate and positive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and free to learn in a dignified environment. Will determine learners who are having difficulty with subject matter and assist as necessary providing feedback to the learner or the course director. Assist with collecting reliable data for evaluating learners' performances through\: observational ratings of learner performance (anecdotal notes, customized notations) and through formal assessment instruments (i.e. checklists). This person interacts with faculty, staff, students and the public on a continuing and regular basis as a representative of CESI. This individual will provide and implement solutions to enhance the delivery of simulation-based education through technological developments and creation of artifacts, such as moulage, props and wardrobe.
The day to day task will involve but are not limited to:
-Setting up and taking down of computers, all simulators, including screen-based simulation programs, procedural task training models, virtual reality simulators and full body computerized manikins, clinical and teaching equipment, and complex audio-visual systems.
-Provides and implements solutions to enhance the delivery of simulation-based education through technological developments and creation of artifacts, such as moulage, props, and wardrobe.
-Troubleshoots clinical simulation technologies associated audio visual equipment so that training courses run smoothly.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Build professional relationships with unit leadership and staff.

· Respond to unit leadership emails within 24 hours (72 hours on weekends).
· Respond to staff emails within 48 hours (72 hours on weekends) for schedule changes and switches.
· Create and maintain approval/refusal of Open Shifts.
· Maintain Orientation, Education, and Skills in UKG Dimensions.
· Maintain and monitor holiday groups and weekend patterns.
· Routine tracking of missed weekend/holiday shifts and rescheduling per HHC and Unit guidelines.
