This individual will be part of the Environmental Stewardship and Resiliency (ESR) market segment providing environmental stewardship, sustainability and resilience planning, permitting, and consulting services to Aviation, Transportation, Municipal and private clients nationally. This senior-level consultant position mentor mid- and junior-level consultants, will provide direct support for activities related to ESR, project pursuits and project delivery to the practice firmwide.
The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills and an interest in providing a broad array of sustainability and resilience planning and implementation services. Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing sustainability through the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure's (ISI's) ENVISION rating system is important. Broad background knowledge and interests in energy, electrification, water, stormwater, wetlands, spill management, emerging, hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste management, environmental compliance management systems and auditing programs is a plus. Interest or prior experience in developing proactive environmental programs, including operational sustainability, environmental restoration, and long-term adaptation and resiliency planning, is desired.
To be successful in this role, you must:
* Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited program.
* Minimum 15 years of applicable consulting experience.

This position is primarily for HVAC system design.
Our approach to designing and managing projects starts with teamwork. Every project is headed up by a senior level engineer who leads a group of mid- and entry-level engineers and designers. Our ultimate goal is to deliver excellent projects. We do that by developing excellent teams, working in an exciting atmosphere that continually fosters professional development and technical proficiency. Mentoring and supporting each other is vital to how we accomplish that. As a junior engineer, the candidate will be an integral part of multiple teams. Working well with others is an important aspect of this job.
The candidate should possess fundamental knowledge of building load calculations, ventilation calculations and ductwork/piping system sizing and layout. Rudimentary knowledge of HVAC system types and how to select optimal systems for various application is a plus.
Proficiency with the following software is desirable:
A significant portion of this job will be developing 3D building models using Revit and its various plugins. Learning and becoming proficient with coordination and clash detection software such as NewForma and Naviswork will also be expected.
The position may require assisting with the preparation of engineering reports and technical specifications under the direct supervision of a senior engineer.
Continually gaining knowledge of pertinent codes, standards, and best practices will be expected.
The candidate will be expected to visit construction sites and attend site meetings to review, monitor, and report construction progress of the many projects we design.
Construction-related duties will be required such as shop drawing review, answering RFI's, preparing supplemental instructions and writing status reports.
As a quality focused firm, self checking one's own work is very important and must be performed with a keen eye toward producing excellent work.
Careful coordination of work with other disciplines will be required.
The candidate may assist the senior engineer with client contact and communication.
As a team focused firm, it will be expected that all individuals strive to promote excellent communication and cooperation among staff.
It will always be expected that the candidate promotes and represents the firm in a professional manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
Minimum of two years' experience as a mechanical engineer.

The Assistant Superintendent coordinates field operations for specific areas and/or specific self-performed and subcontracted trades on a project. Assistant Superintendents ensure that construction work is completed according to a project's planned sequence and schedule, and implement and enforce pertinent safety and quality control procedures.
**Responsibilities**
+ Supervise and coordinate installation of work in accordance with the contract documents, project schedule and the planned sequence of work. Be aware of project milestone dates and the requirements to achieve them
+ Have thorough knowledge of the Contract Documents and the scope of work for the specific area(s) or trade(s) assigned
+ Develop an understanding of the duration of each activity
+ Apply knowledge of equipment capability and develop plans for optimum utilization
+ Know the scheduled delivery dates for all material and equipment that have a direct effect on the area(s)/trade(s) assigned
+ Supervise field work force to assure that all work is put in place in the most cost effective manner. Know the budgets for work that is being supervised. Determine causes and develop remedies when costs are not in line with budget, estimate, and/or reasonable expectations
+ Implement the safety program. Conduct regular, scheduled and unscheduled, safety inspections to assure all working conditions and work habits are in compliance with company and government standards.
