The Opportunity RS&H is seeking a South Florida Bridge Area Discipline Leader to join our Transportation Practice in our Miami or Fort Lauderdale office! In this role, you will be responsible for the structural aspects of highway and/or railroad bridge engineering projects. This position will be responsible for delivering current and future projects through construction, leading and supervising a team of bridge engineers, and for mentoring the team in structural design and career development. This position will also be responsible for leading technical pursuits and proposal writing.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree minimum and (Master's degree with structural emphasis preferred) in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
* Must have a FL professional engineering (PE) registration with the ability to obtain comity in other jurisdictions as required
* Experience designing transportation structures including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, miscellaneous structures, and construction engineering.
* Minimum of 15 years of progressive structural engineering design experience
* Complex bridge design experience (FDOT Segmental experience preferred)
* Good working knowledge of MicroStation, Excel, Mathcad, variety of Structural Design Software, (examples include STAAD, MDX, LPILE, CONSPAN, RISA, LARSA)
* Experience with Finite Element Method/Analysis preferred
* Experience working on traditional Design Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery methods.
* Experience working as Owner's Representative on projects
* Experience working on FDOT projects
* Experience managing and mentoring engineering staff
* Experience with business development including client relationship management, proposal writing and presentations

The Opportunity RS&H is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer III to join our team in Fort Lauderdale or Miami! This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote. As part of the infrastructure team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by serving as a team expert and/or project lead; preparing project specifications and complete project documents, analysis, and reports; analyzing and interpreting data; performing analyses of design, planning, and impact studies, as well as cost analyses, design requirements, site selection, and limited design layouts; designing complete projects, systems, components, and/or processes; preparing project documents, engineering analysis, and reports; performing quality control reviews and ensuring achievement of key milestones; and performing field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects. To be successful in this role, you must:

* Be proficient in production software and construction document production.
* Have proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner.
* Have experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects, providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy, and participating in the design and implementation of new services, processes, standards, and/or operational plans that had great impact on the achievement of functional results.

* Watershed delineation and determination of hydrological parameters
* Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using ICPR 4/Stormwise, MIKE-SHE, MIKE-11 or SWMM
* Drainage Analysis and Design using Geopak Drainage, Subsurface Utilities Design and Analysis (SUDA) for Open Roads Designer (ORD), and/or ASAD
* Plans production using Microstation SS10 with Geopak, and/or FDOTConnect for ORD
* CADD (Microstation SS10, FDOTConnect for ORD, and/or Civil 3D)
* Preparing FDOT NexGen Plans per FDOT Design Manual (FDM) 900 Series
* Preparing Estimated Quantities Report for quantifying drainage features in ORD
* ArcGIS for water resources projects
* Prior Experience with FDOT D4 & D6 projects

The Deputy Program Manager reports to the Project Director and is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the project by both the Contractor and the Design Team.
