Essential Functions:
Provides leadership and oversight to a team of architectural professionals with a shared focus of ensuring client satisfaction and quality outcomes. Leads the development of a top-in class design and production team by developing and retaining existing associates and recruiting new talent and capabilities to the firm. Fosters a diverse knowledge of appropriate discipline principles and techniques
Oversees and leads the delivery of multiple, high-profile design projects that are critical to expanding client relationships and growing our portfolio. Drives operational excellence, including profitability, operational efficiency, resource management, and quality deliverables. Provides subject matter expertise throughout the project.
Creates an engaging and empowering work environment for team, including communicating clear expectations and providing effective performance feedback through regular meetings, recognition, rewards, coaching, and disciplinary action, when needed.
Leads client relationship development activities while working closely with client managers and business development teams to drive top line sales growth
Leads and oversees direct sales activities for the discipline, including submitting qualifications, LOIs, and proposals, and conducting presentations for winning new work. Encourages and supports new technologies, tools, and training, that will increase the output efficiency of proposals and presentations. Consults with strategy leaders to develop and implement pursuit strategies and techniques to improve sales performance, particularly for strategic/large (LPPs) pursuits. Consults with operational leadership to identify key hires to support strategic pursuits and market and geographic expansion. Consistently administers go/no go process to improve win rate and increase sales. Ensures pursuit quality management approach is consistently followed.
Collaborates effectively with leaders, teams, and associates across the firm to help drive success. Creates an environment that promotes teamwork. Coordinates and reviews resource level with other Studio Leads to ensure client needs are satisfied and associates are exposed to diverse and escalating project responsibilities
Ensures adherence to all client and regulatory requirements. Provides expertise on codes, quality assurance, and construction methods and materials
Completes all other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or related field from an accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience
Requires professional registration/certification in discipline
10+ years relevant experience
Must possess thorough knowledge of architectural design, drafting, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques, and costs. Must also have a solid knowledge of the relevant market sector. Must be capable of marketing services to existing and new clients, and adept at mentoring and encouraging a team to maximize their abilities.

Master's degree in a relevant field, from an accredited program

The Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Buildings Engineer to join the Buildings Engineering team in our Jacksonville, FL, Dallas, TX, or Charlotte, NC Office. #LI-RM2 The Structural Engineer will join our Buildings Engineering Team, focusing on structural building design for projects within our aviation, aerospace, federal, health and science, and commercial market sectors. Our projects range from small renovations to large multi-building projects. This position performs all conventional aspects of engineering design and development, including the planning and conducting of work requiring more advanced techniques. This position independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of engineering designs for projects of moderate size and complexity.
Essential Functions:
* Prepare construction documents, including structural drawings and specifications.
* Perform structural calculations by hand and with computer-assisted engineering software.
* Coordinate with other internal disciplines, including architecture, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical.
* Review shop drawings, answer requests for information, and provide construction site visits.
* Designs a complete project, system, component, or process and prepares project documents, engineering analysis, and reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Proven experience leading and/or providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff. This includes proven experience reviewing others' work for technical accuracy.
* Possess strong oral and communication skills.

WJE offers a robust, total compensation structure, where the hourly rate is just one component of an employee's annual earnings. We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer and Project Manager with 10 or more years of experience in planning, design, and project management on water and wastewater and municipal infrastructure projects to work from either of our offices focusing on managing utility design and municipal water/wastewater projects. Recent and ongoing design projects include design of water and wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, lift stations, and water modeling.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
Working with junior staff and assisting in the direction of other technical staff to produce quality designs and plans
Performing civil engineering planning and analysis, detailing, and plan set production
Project management responsibilities include task, budget, and schedule management, as well as client interaction.
The candidate will also have the opportunity to manage, lead, and develop junior staff while working on a diverse range of public infrastructure projects throughout Central Texas offices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Texas PE license or the ability to obtain a Texas PE license within 6 months of hire
10-15 years of experience in municipal infrastructure including water and wastewater pipelines, storage tanks, and pump station project planning, detailed design, and construction administration
3 or more years of experience in project management and client service, including successful budget and schedule controls
3 or more years of experience in managing and mentoring junior staff
Ability to work independently at times and as part of a multidisciplinary team at others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to convey engineering information concisely to technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would possess specific experience performing work in a variety of municipalities and has experience giving Council/Board presentations.

**What You'll Do:**
+ Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents, and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.

The Opportunity RS&H is currently seeking an Airfield Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Practice in Jacksonville, FL. RS&H is passionate about aviation! We choose to design and manage a wide variety of civil projects at airports throughout the U.S. and abroad. You will have an opportunity to advance your career and professional development as the Project Manager, Project Engineer or engineering support (dependent upon experience) on airport projects. You will have the opportunity to lead, develop and deliver projects of varying sizes and complexity, initiate and maintain client contact and assist the team in winning the work.
Activities include the geometric design of runways, taxiways, and aprons; bituminous and concrete pavement design; stormwater and utility infrastructure design; coordination with airports, airlines, FAA and other tenants; and construction administration/management. The successful Airfield Engineer II applicant will work locally at RS&H's Tampa, FL office to perform design and project management activities in support of airfield civil engineering projects.
Related tasks include:
* Design of runways, taxiways, and aprons
* Stormwater and utility infrastructure design
* Pavement design and assessment
* Aircraft parking layout and passenger boarding bridge modeling
* Coordination with airports, airlines, FAA and project stakeholders
* Construction management and inspection

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited ABET university
* Minimum of 6 years of experience, with at least two years of airport design experience
* Professional Engineer license required
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
