Job Purpose:
As a member of the Regulatory Sciences team, act as Research Associate for PCR molecular analyses for regulatory biosafety studies. Responsible for following experimental and laboratory procedures according to agreed upon protocols, for collecting, organizing and summarizing study data and for providing support to other laboratory personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide molecular analysis support for Regulatory Sciences and Registration:

2. Ensure adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP):
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), methods, and worksheets for analytical procedures and equipment including:
Sample weighing
DNA extraction
Reagent preparation
Genomic controls
PCR
Maintain equipment maintenance logs for daily, routine, and non-routine tasks
3. Support regulatory studies related to trait package preparation:

The Division of Pediatrics/Radiology, within the UI Stead Family Department of Pediatrics, seeks to hire an Assistant Research Scientist. The primary function of in this position is to develop a translational MR imaging research program focused on neuroinflammation in pediatric chronic diseases. The primary focus of this work would be the assessment of brain development across the lifespan in children with a variety of pediatric chronic diseases. This position would help to build and optimize research imaging protocols in small animals and human subjects to successfully a develop a translational MR imaging research program. This position would be housed within the Department of Pediatrics and include strong collaboration and support with the MR Research Facility. This position is also expected to develop image analysis pipelines for the analysis of magnetic resonance spectroscopy and glymphatics in small animals and humans. This will include the development of analysis tools to generate quantitative results from the acquired data. In addition, this position will report the results from these efforts in scientific publications as well as support the writing and submission of grant applications.

Duties to include:
Experiments, Simulation, Modeling or Theoretical Investigation:
* Optimize imaging protocols for small animal and human magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and glymphatics.

Builds upon working knowledge of machines, process and experience to troubleshoot problems.
Measures parts and follows SPC procedures as required by work instructions and/or customer requirements.
Promotes efficient production practices by performing ongoing tasks necessary to ready finished product.
Communicates production problems with lead people or management as needed.

Job Requirements
Education and training:

Objective The Assistant Research Scientist (ARS) is to investigate targeted alpha-emitter therapy in support of development of novel radiopharmaceuticals. The ARS is also responsible for conducting in vitro and in vivo experiments to optimize radiopharmaceutical drug molecules. The ARS reports to the Senior Principal Scientist and works collaboratively with colleagues from other teams as well as from other departments on transitioning pipelines from preclinical stage to clinical stage.
Essential Functions
* Maintain logs, lab notebooks, and other documentation with diligence and recognizes that data integrity is of upmost importance through all aspects of the process from the discovery stage of development through commercialization of products.
* Design and conduct experiments to support the discovery, development and characterization of theranostic radiopharmaceuticals independently upon training.
* Perform radiochemical synthesis for in vitro assays, including ligand binding and affinity assays, and stability evaluation.
* Perform in vivo animal studies (mostly using mouse model) to evaluate the PK/PD features, therapeutic efficacy and toxicity of radiopharmaceuticals.
* Conduct cellular and molecular studies, including ELISA, DNA and RNA isolation, gel electrophoresis, Western Blot, RT-PCR, real time PCR, flow cytometry, and IHC.
* Apply routine aseptic skills for cell culture and tumor inoculation.

**Position Purpose:**
MercyOne recognizes that certain Cath Lab positions (such as Cath Lab Nurses) require on-site training and practical experience, and that it would be in the best interest of both MercyOne and potential candidates for these positions to sponsor a Training Program for Cath Lab Nurses interested in gaining the practical experience required to move into these roles.
**What you will Do:**
The Cath Lab Training Program is for a period of up to six (6) months. The Training Program is on an at-will basis and participants may be removed from the Training Program, with or without cause, at any time as determined appropriate by MercyOne in its sole discretion. Successful completion of the Training Program does not modify the at-will nature of the employment relationship, nor does it guarantee that the Trainee will be selected for hire.
Participants who successfully complete the Training Program will be eligible for a Full-Time Cath Lab RN role.
If Trainee ends employment prior to fulfilling their employment commitment (18 months of full time employment) a repayment plan will be developed in partnership with Human Resources.
Trainee will be responsible for attending all lectures, demonstrations, or other presentations. In addition, since much of the Training Program focuses on learning by watching and doing, Trainee will perform any and all duties now and later assigned to Trainee by MercyOne. Trainee will also perform such other duties as are customarily performed by one holding such a position in other settings as that engaged in by MercyOne. The Department of Otolaryngology is seeking a Research Assistant to conduct highly technical and specialized scientific research focused on genetic deafness (autosomal recessive and dominant nonsyndromic hearing loss), exploring phenotype-genotype relationships, novel gene discovery, gene therapy, and the contribution of genetics to age-related hearing loss. This individual will evaluate genetic data to determine genotype-phenotype correlations and develop methodology to identify novel disease-causing loci. Additionally, they will independently secure funding, conduct research experiments, analyze data, and disseminate findings through publications and presentations.

Keeps feeder bowls adequately filled. Monitors dryer and oven trays to maintain sufficient material for production run.
Builds upon working knowledge of machines, process and experience to troubleshoot problems.
Measures parts and follows SPC procedures as required by work instructions and/or customer requirements.
Promotes efficient production practices by performing ongoing tasks necessary to ready finished product.
