The candidate must possess, at a minimum, an active Top Secret security clearance. Additionally, candidates must pass and maintain a medical clearance. Typical assignments are frequently performed in both internal and external environments with a variety of weather conditions. The ability to work under extreme hot or cold weather conditions with exposure to dust or dirt is routine and may require the use of protective personal equipment (PPE). Responsibilities: + Install, maintain, and repair security systems in compliance with Department of State regulations and contract requirements. + Utilize expertise in conduit installation, including both electrical metallic tubing (EMT) and rigid pipe (RGS), to facilitate the wiring and integration of security system components. + Demonstrate proficiency in conduit bending techniques to accurately measure, cut, and shape conduit according to project specifications and electrical drawings. + Utilize power tools and equipment, including drills, saws, and conduit benders, to complete installation tasks safely and efficiently. + Operate man lifts and other aerial equipment as needed to access installation locations at varying heights. + Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and electrical drawings to plan and execute installations accurately. + Collaborate effectively with team members, including other electricians, security technicians, and project managers, to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion of tasks. + Maintain a high level of professionalism while working in US government facilities, adhering to security protocols and regulations at all times. + Adhere to safety procedures and practices to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and fellow team members. Qualifications: + Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Electrician, preferably with a focus on security systems installation. + Active Top Secret security clearance or higher. + Ability to pass and maintain a medical clearance. + Possession of a valid journeyman electrician license. + Proficiency in conduit installation, including EMT and rigid pipe, as well as conduit bending techniques. + Experience using power tools and equipment commonly used in electrical installations. + Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and electrical drawings accurately. + Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams in a dynamic environment. + Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor, particularly when working in sensitive government facilities. **Security Clearance Requirement:** An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.
