Position Summary
The Senior Clinical Trials Assistant is responsible for assisting the study team by performing operational tasks associated with the coordination and setup, conduct and closure of clinical trials according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ICH-GCP guidelines and all applicable regulatory requirements. Primary responsibilities include supporting activities undertaken to ensure efficient and effective conduct of all clinical trials managed by Codera in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), agreed timelines, allocated budgets and required quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) maintenance, including study team roster updates, study and site level updates, assistance with running reports and reviewing CTMS entry accuracy
Review study documents received from the study team for completeness and accuracy and upload to the Trial Master File (TMF)
Perform quality control of documents submitted to the TMF and ensure documents which fail TMF quality control and/or TMF quality review are effectively remediated
Perform TMF quality reviews to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of study documents to ensure TMFs are inspection ready at all times
Support study start-up by performing secondary reviews of Essential Document Packages and completing Investigator background checks
Assist in identifying clinical trial sites and contribute to site feasibility
Manage study-related supplies and study-related material requests
Perform oversight of study site training
Perform general administrative tasks to support team members with clinical trial execution, e.g., development and formatting of documents, review and reconciliation of study-specific information, etc.
Participate in clinical operations initiatives and programs and maintain study trackers and tools as directed by the Clinical and/or TMF Operations team
Maintain study contact lists, support site start-up activities and assist the Clinical/TMF Operations teams with preparation for audits/inspections
Maintain Veeva Clinical job aids
Perform business administration activities in Veeva QualityDocs, as needed
Serve as a Training Administrator for Vault Training and assist Clinical Program Managers with management and tracking of study team training
Participate in User Acceptance Testing for Clinical Systems & Infrastructure, as needed.
Execute other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required
Minimum 2 years experience in clinical research, academic, hospital or similar setting preferred
Experience and proven proficiency in CTMS and eTMF systems
Experience with Veeva Systems preferred
General knowledge of clinical site monitoring, feasibility and study start-up preferred
Detail-oriented, organized and committed to quality and consistency
Results-driven and capable of managing competing high-priority assignments with a proven track record of achieving deliverables within specified timelines
Excellent team-interaction skills and ability to work successfully in global team settings
Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a high degree of flexibility

Job Summary

Certification (CMA) obtained through a nationally approved certification program for medical assistant, including but not limited to: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National HealthCareer Association (NHA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), etc.
