MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
Under the direction of the Deputy Director of Educational Services and the Group/Lead Teacher, the Teacher Assistant assists in providing direct early childhood educational services to children between the ages of two (2) months and five (5) years of age.
The Teacher Assistant is responsible for the supervision and management of all assigned children. The Teacher Assistant interacts directly with the children and models appropriate adult-child interactions for parents.

The Quad Preparatory School is looking for a special education science teacher to teach eighth-grade Earth and Space Science. Please note that our eighth-grade curriculum is a high-school level course. Teachers are also responsible for social-emotional and executive functioning skills support as part of the weekly curriculum in collaboration with our clinicians. Our classes typically consist of seven or fewer students.
Teachers have the opportunity to receive mentorship, coaching, and support from the clinicians as well as academic administrators. Work Environment:
This job operates in a school setting. The school is located on the fifth and sixth floors of a building with an elevator. This role requires working in various locations around the school and occasional travel to the Lower School campus approximately two blocks away.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is active and involves standing and walking. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items under 20 pounds. During fire drills, the employee, unless physically unable, will need to use the stairs to go to ground level from the fifth or sixth floor. Typing is required. Job DescriptionDescription
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Resource Room Teacher to join our team. As a Resource Room Teacher, you will work with students who require additional support in a one-on-one or small group setting. You will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with classroom teachers and parents to ensure each student receives the support they need to succeed. The successful candidate will have a passion for helping students with diverse learning needs achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to identify the individual learning needs of each student
Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to support student learning and growth
Provide one-on-one or small group instruction in a resource room setting
Collaborate with classroom teachers and parents to ensure students are receiving the necessary support in the classroom setting
Use a variety of instructional strategies and techniques to meet the diverse needs of students
Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction as needed
Keep accurate records of student progress and communicate progress to parents, administrators, and other stakeholders as needed
Requirements
Valid teaching certification in special education
Experience working as a resource room teacher or in a similar role preferred
Knowledge of a variety of instructional strategies and techniques to meet diverse learning needs
Ability to develop and implement individualized learning plans
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other stakeholders
Strong organizational skills to keep accurate records and ensure that each student receives the necessary support and services.
