Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Hybrid Work Arrangement: Initially 4 days in the office and 1 day remote, with potential to transition to 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

Job Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced benefits manager to oversee benefits administration, data analytics, and the insurance technology platform for CarePlus Dental Plans, the vertically integrated dental insurance arm of Dental Associates. The ideal candidate will be an analytical self-starter who excels at problem solving and attention to detail. The CarePlus Insurance Operations Manager will act as a liaison between our service, technical, and operations staff, with a core focus on providing excellent administrative support to our clients and provider partner, Dental Associates.
Build strong relationships within the business units and support functions to better serve our members.
Create, transmit, import, adjudicate and pay claims for timely processing
Process claims specific to the agreed upon benefits and fee schedules by plan, reviewing clinical documentation as needed.
As appropriate, determine alternate benefits for services that do not meet processing guidelines.
Ensure the accuracy of claim payment for all claims processed through the extended provider network.
Submit out of network claim payment approvals, including supporting documentation within protocol.
Communicate denial reasons with providers and patients per policy guidelines.
Collaborate with leadership to establish work standards and objectives with Major Work Coordinators.
Identify and report potential fraud and abuse cases.
Identify and translate business needs into clearly defined requirements for insurance policy administration projects.
Manage client relationships including but not limited to initial set up, ongoing processing and troubleshooting of HIPAA 834 electronic enrollments and ACH transfers.
Create and maintain documentation, including HIPAA 834 Companion Guides.
Handle analysis, audits and supervisor support for Dental Associates’ Billing Department upon request.
Configure benefits within the Skygen Insurance and Denticon Practice Management systems, including plan structure and fee schedules.
Lead software testing, documentation and validation periodically, in preparation for software upgrades.
Collaborate with team members on system enhancements, ensuring that proposed solutions improve efficiency and the effectiveness of business processes.
Identify software performance issues, obtaining resolution through working with vendors.
Evaluate reporting for accuracy, resolving inaccuracies with IT and third-party administrators.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Prior experience with PHI and HIPAA Compliance.

Resource Coordination:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available community resources and services, and coordinate referrals to ensure clients receive timely and appropriate support.
- Develop processes to stay informed of all DLC programs with immediate openings and communicate consistently with community referral sources to support client capacity within treatment services.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of community resources, including contact information, service descriptions, and eligibility criteria.
- Work closely with DLC Case Managers, Discharge Planners, Clinicians, Providers, and Support Staff to generate referrals, coordinate care, and follow up on referrals.
- Coordinate the completion of admission process and ensure appropriate resources are obtained.
Documentation:
- Accurately document all referral activities, client interactions, and outcomes in the organization's database.
- Ensure that all documentation complies with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
- Prepare regular reports on referral activities, outcomes, and trends for review by the Director of Strategic Partnerships.
Outreach:
- Participate in community outreach events and activities to promote the organization's services and build referral networks.
- Develop events and educational forums that demonstrate programs and provide an opportunity to identify potential referral sources.
- Develop and implement strategies for outreach communication and materials to raise awareness of the organization's services.
- Represent the organization at relevant community meetings, coalitions, and task forces.
- Educate Clients, families, community and other referral sources on programs, services and amenities provided within the DLC organization.

Job Summary
The critical care nurse provides direct and individualized care to acutely and critically ill patients, in a highly technical and ongoing monitoring environment. They assess the patient’s condition, perform diagnostic tests, begin treatments and assist doctors with any required medical procedures. The critical care nurse monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interprets and records electronic displays; i.e. intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac rhythms, ventilator settings, etc. The hybrid Early Intervention Team (EIT) nurse works at least one shift in the virtual command center per week. The EIT Nurse is a registered professional nurse who functions under the direction of the Nurse Manager and is responsible for coordination of EIT assessment of patient, prioritization and implementation of interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes, documentation of interventions and outcomes, communication with other team members and disciplines, and safe delivery of age appropriate and culturally aware patient care. EIT training begins after successful 12-week orientation period as bedside nurse.
As an EIT Nurse you will also be responsible for:
Addressing the patient/family biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and education needs. The EIT Nurse serves as a resource/support to the staff, physicians, patients, families, and other departments.
Rapid Response calls, follow-up visits, EIT data collection, entry and analysis, development of EIT practice guidelines, evaluation of patient codes and informal education of staff.
Managing rapid prevention and treatment of patients experiencing sepsis, CVA, respiratory distress, acute coronary syndrome and other comorbidities.
Recognizing, assessing, coordinating, interpreting clinical surveillance data, re-evaluating the nursing care plan of patients and communicating that plan to the assigned team members and bedside clinical team.
Possessing an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of nursing care for a specific unit patient population to include patients and their families, utilizing conscientious consideration for patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Performing crisis intervention as a first priority and be a lead resource when responding to Rapid Response, Code Blue, Class 1 Stroke, In-House STEMI and In-House Trauma.
Being regarded as a resource and subject matter expert for staff on patient care issues.
Providing consultative assessments to help facilitate higher level transfers within the hospital.
