Work You'll Do
As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on projects to help our clients design, assess, and remediate technology controls.
Specific areas of work could include:
+ Assist clients in advancing the quality of information disclosed to markets and investors to meet regulatory and attestation requirements
+ Evaluate accounting systems and controls to identify areas for improvement and utilize established methodologies to enhance clients' information technology controls and technology risk management programs
+ Perform internal audit assurance activities (internal audits over financial, operational, compliance, IT, SOX and QARs), consult with engagement leadership and clients on strategic plans and other business matters, and help to anticipate emerging risks for our clients
+ Create and manage SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 reports, ensuring all third-party services meet the required principles and standards
+ Oversee the implementation of new systems, ensuring they are executed efficiently and align with industry standards, client objectives and regulatory requirements
+ Perform internal control assessments, anticipate and identify emerging risks, and provide clients with proactive solutions and risk mitigation strategies
+ Develop recommendations to enhance business processes and systems based on audit findings

Qualifications
Required:
+ Bachelor or Master's degrees in the following majors will be considered:

The Internship
The internship is flexible between late summer 2025 and spring 2026. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD research intern to join our Future Product Innovation team and push the envelope on what is possible with Generative AI technologies in the domain of automotive product design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD Generation and Machine Learning or related fields, with demonstrated interest in design and generative AI. In this project, the intern will develop 3D shape generation techniques with applications to CAD such as point cloud to CAD and image to CAD.
We will match the intern with mentors based on their experience. Over the course of the project, in addition to Future Product Innovation group meetings, the intern will also participate in all Human-Centered AI division meetings and meetings with partners from relevant Toyota business groups. The intern will be exposed to how interdisciplinary industrial research works and learn from our team as well as the other interns in our division. Furthermore, the intern will engage in strategy discussions about how their research connects to business impact at Toyota.

The Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS) is the state agency in Massachusetts responsible for providing an attorney when the state or federal constitution or a state statute requires the appointment of an attorney for a person who cannot afford to retain one. MENTAL HEALTH LITIGATION DIVISION OVERVIEW
The Mental Health Litigation Division provides individuals with attorneys for Civil Commitment proceedings in the District and Superior Courts and provides attorneys for appointment by the Probate and Family Courts to represent persons in Guardianships and Substituted Judgment proceedings, including cases involving Conservatorship, Elder Abuse, the Validation of Health Care Proxies, Nursing Home Admission and Do Not Resuscitate orders. Civil Commitments are handled by both staff and private attorneys, while most cases in the Probate Court are handled by private panel attorneys.
In addition to our staff offices in Brockton, Roxbury, Northampton, and Worcester, the MHLD has attorneys in our trial support and oversight office and our training department. All our attorneys receive training in issues relating to mental health and the statutory and constitutional rights of our clients. The Mental Health Litigation Division offers interns a variety of experiences and assignments under the supervision of highly experienced attorneys.
Mental Health Commitment Defense Units
The MHLD offices located in Brockton seeks interns and law coop students who have completed their 2L year and are or can be 3:03 certified to assist attorneys with representation of citizens facing involuntary civil commitment to mental health facilities, and involuntary medical treatment for mental illness, including the administration of anti-psychotic medications. 1Ls are welcome to intern with the commitment defense offices to assist with client calls, reviewing medical records and legal research. Interns in MHLD commitment offices will:
* Shadow several attorneys during their internship,
* Develop a working understanding of G.L. c. 123 and the requirements for civil commitment, District and Municipal Court commitment proceedings, court-ordered medication proceedings, and the rules of evidence as applied in mental health cases,
* Visit clients and conduct interviews to obtain relevant information and ascertain the client's position on their pending petition(s)
* Work with independent medical experts including psychiatrists, psychologists, social service experts, and other mental health professionals as requested by staff attorneys,
* Work with attorneys to prepare motions for funds, motions for in person hearings, review medical records, direct examinations, cross-examination of Designated Forensic Psychologists and Psychiatrists and closing arguments,
* Develop research on race and equity issues in civil commitments and assist in developing a litigation guide for such issues, Conduct research into support for novel issues or arguments.

The ACLU seeks a Legal Intern in the Criminal Law Reform Project of the ACLU's National offices in New York. This is a part-time Remote or Hybrid position. Intern is required to be based in the U.S. The Team:
The Criminal Law Reform Project advocates for the constitutional and civil rights of those impacted by criminal legal systems. We use litigation and advocacy to confront systemic government conduct that fuels the carceral state and police abuse, and oppresses people based on race, class, and other characteristics. CLRP does this work because everyone suspected, accused, or convicted of a crime deserves dignity, fairness, and an opportunity to thrive. Ultimately, we seek to shift power to under-resourced communities and to elevate approaches to justice and safety that advance fundamental rights for all.
The Project's current priorities are combatting police violence while bolstering individual rights against police authority; protecting the fundamental right to pretrial liberty; eliminating excessive conditions of post release supervision; and creating robust public defense systems to guarantee the constitutional right counsel. CLRP works closely with the ACLU's National Political Advocacy Department, our communications Department, and our affiliates to advance an affirmative vision for criminal legal system reform.
What You'll Do:
The intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience by working alongside the team and assisting in factual investigation, and legal research and writing to advance our litigation and integrated advocacy.
