Become an EMT Volunteer

This option offers hands-on entry-level experience as an emergency medical technician (EMT). It is a unique opportunity in that it often can be fast-paced and high-stress. This ultimately prepares you for what some medical scenarios can be like.

You are likely to encounter all sorts of medical emergencies when you are an EMT, like victims of severe car crashes, those with gunshot or stab wounds, and people having a heart attack or a stroke.

This experience is great preparation in getting you to think fast, and objectively, and putting the goal of patient care and saving lives first.
